You might want to look especially at scipy for your plotting and
curve fitting needs. You could make the equivalent of your VMOS tool
(.exe with GUI) using this and a few other python libraries. Of
particular interest may be:
scipy (includes optimization, based on python and numpy)
matplotlib (high quality plotting)
pyrex (exe builder)
pyscripter (IDE)
pythoncard (GUI builder)
visualWx (GUI builder, supports fancy looking apps)
Of course, that's all in case you which for more power at your
fingertips and don't mind the learning curve.
