A couple of weeks delay is hardly excessive considering, as others have
mentioned, the waiting time for other equipment. Personally I think
SBIG have it about right. Better the occasional delay than gearing up
for a bigger turnover/inventory then going bust when times are hard.
I suspect what stock they had in December went for Christmas presents,
either from indulgent spouses or a personal treat! And even SBIG are
entitled to a Christmas holiday ;-)
I guess living in Arizona you haven't had to wait sometimes weeks for a
clear night. Having Astronomy as a hobby in the UK teaches you *real*
patience - the last good night I had was 10th January!
